Susan's Best Smoothie

I love starting my day with Susan's Best Smoothie!

Makes 2 servings


  • ½ orange, apple or pear
  • ½ banana (fresh or frozen)
  • ½ - 1 cup filtered water
  • 1 scoop (5 Tbsp) vanilla whey protein powder
  • ½ cup plain yogurt
  • 1 cup frozen berries (organic, your choice of berries)
  • 1 cup of greens (spinach, kale, collards, etc)
  • 1 Tbsp ground flaxseed
  • Ice cubes as needed for consistency


Put in blender, blend on high, add ice cubes (or water) until you reach your preferred consistency


  • Add 2 tsp fresh lemon juice or splash of cranberry juice (for less sweetness)
  • If using apple or pear, add cinnamon, ginger and/or nutmeg
  • Fruit or veggies of your choice
