Sugar Craving Tips - Banish Cravings Now!
1. Drink water – often, we are simply dehydrated and we misinterpret our body’s signal for water, thinking it is a craving for sugar. When you get a craving, drink a big glass of water first.
2. Eliminate caffeine – caffeine, like sugar, is fake energy and contributes to the energy spikes and crashes. When you crash from the caffeine, you often crave sugar. If you eliminate caffeine, you will have less need for sugar.
3. Get enough sleep – We need 7 ½ - 8 ½ hours of sleep per night. If we don’t get it, we’ll turn to sugar or caffeine for our energy. This is crucial for staying off the rollercoaster.
4. Eat sweet veggies! – So many diet plans tell you to stay away from carrots and sweet potatoes. But if we don’t get our sweets from vegetables (like corn, carrots, yams, beets and even onions), we’ll crave and go for processed sweets. Special tip: try eating radishes, you won't want sugar after that! Sweet veggies are much better for you than processed sugar, so eat em up!
